Why is heating with Suntherm
panels so effective?
There are three basic principles: Let
us discuss them one by one.
1.
Maximum transmission of heat with radiation
2. Equal placing of the
sources of heat
3. Quality regulation
The simpliciy of the regulation is given by
the structure of the panels, where the source of heat is a
resistance with a large surface and with low output (350 W).
There are not changes from the source of heat
(boiler) to the storage heaters (wires, radiators). The sources
of heat are independent because of the structure of the Suntherm
panels. The panels can be controlled one after the other,
so every panel can change the temperature on its surface and
its efficiency too.
The controllers make it possible to maintain
different temperatures in different rooms. The whole controlling
system is fairly sensitive, quick and saves on energy without
human interference. In contrast with other sources of heat
it is enough to build in 1/3 of output.

the low costs of investment (compared to the conventional
ways of heating), low operational costs, unlimited life time,
high technical level make the Suntherm panels a long term way
of heating.
1. Maximum transmission of heat with radiation
It is obvious that general feeling is
not good when the temperature is 24 oC in the room and the
walls are 16 oC . It is nicer when the walls are warmer (18
oC) and the air is 22 oC. It can be observed in winter too,
when sense of heat is different in the shade and in the sun,
although the temperature is the same. When speaking about
heating, it originates from the fact that the radiant is a
souce of heat. As far as efficiency is concerned we have to
mention a small loss of heat after airing the room and the
equality of the division of heat. Most of the radiating sources
of heat are the radiating panels put on the ceiling. Other
types of heating have not got enough warming surface or they
cannot warm up the room entirely because of their placing.
2. Equal placing of the sources of heat
Of course, air- conditioning is the
second principle for the technical experts. It is advantageous
to put more sources of heat with low output equally in the
room. The temperature of rooms is equal horizontally. Certain
types of air - conditioning radiating panels put on ceilings,
underfloor heating provide equal temperature.
3. Quality regulation
Controlling is the best known way of
saving on energy. The regulator can be programmed and it helps
the gain of heat to be included (eg: sunshine from the windows,
working irons, cookers etc.) The regulator makes the reduction
of temperature possible eg: at nights or when nobody is at
home. The whole system must react quickly and with minimal
difference. Those sources of heat are suitable to fulfil these
requirements which can easily reach the proper temperature,
which have enough reserve to follow the change of temperature
on the surface, which make simple regulation possible, which
do not depend on each other. The radiating heating panels
meet these requirements. The traditional ways of heating (eg:
floor heating or central heating) have to warm up a big mass
(eg: the floor or the water int the radiators and in the boiler),
the time - constant of the radiating panels is 900 seconds.
The high temperature on the surface of the panels (max. 100
oC because the panels on the ceiling are out of reach) satisfies
the needs of temperature.
